Pharmacist:

Green Leaf Medical has an exciting opportunity for an Virginia Board Certified Pharmacist in a dispensary setting. The Pharmacist is responsible for all aspects of Dispensary Operations within their facility including inventory, personnel, clinical consultations, and security with an emphasis on compliance, excellent patient experience, and community relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate with patients while protecting their confidential health and drug information
• Provide counsel and consultation to patients regarding medical conditions
• Lead community outreach efforts to engage and educate medical providers, legislative members, and key stakeholders
• Maintain operations and lead cannabis inventory and financial system audits in a timely manner
• Operate the point-of-sale system for cannabis sales and train dispensary staff accordingly
• Create positive working relationships with the Board of Pharmacy in order to ensure timely and compliant service and product delivery
• Maintain reporting and adhere to Green Leaf Medical’s document retention policy
• Ensure compliance with all company procedures and state laws, rules and regulations
• Follow company procedures regarding dispensing incidents and lead root cause analyses when appropriate
• Maintain supply and drug inventory levels by following defined ordering practices
• Comply to all security/diversion procedures including setting the alarm, locking the building and securing the safe(s)
• Participate in personnel activities such as recruiting, hiring, performance reviews, and corrective actions
• Provide visionary guidance and lead all operational meetings

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree

Licensure:

• Current Pharmacist licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy

Experience:

• At least 2 years of Pharmacist experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting

• Experience in cannabis operations preferred

• Leadership experience in a retail setting preferred

Skills:

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
